Self Defense Training

Real-World Self-Defense for Real Life

Violence doesn’t happen in a controlled environment, and your training shouldn’t either.

As a Krav Maga Second Degree Black Belt Instructor, I teach practical, reality-based self-defense designed to help people develop confidence, awareness, and the ability to respond effectively under stress. Whether your goal is personal safety, increased confidence, workplace preparedness, or empowering your family, training is tailored to meet you where you are.

What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system developed to help individuals respond quickly and effectively to real-world threats.

Unlike traditional martial arts that focus on sport or competition, Krav Maga emphasizes:

• Situational awareness and prevention
• Quick, effective responses under stress
• Defending against common attacks and threats
• Building confidence and decision-making skills
• Training for realistic situations

The goal isn’t to win a fight—it’s to recognize danger, create opportunities for safety, and get home safely.

Fiercely Female Self-Defense

Created specifically for women, the Fiercely Female Program goes beyond physical techniques.

Women face unique safety concerns that require more than learning how to throw a punch. This program addresses:

• Situational awareness and threat recognition
• Boundary setting and verbal assertiveness
• Confidence and mindset development
• Understanding common predator behaviors
• Safety planning and prevention strategies
• Physical self-defense skills for real-world situations

The goal is to help women feel stronger, more confident, and more prepared in everyday life.

Trauma-Informed Self-Defense

Many individuals come to self-defense training with past experiences that can affect how they learn, react, and process stress.

My trauma-informed approach creates a supportive learning environment that recognizes the impact of trauma while helping participants build confidence and capability.

Training may incorporate:

• Understanding stress responses and the nervous system
• Recognizing triggers and creating psychological safety
• Consent-based training practices
• Mindfulness and grounding techniques
• Building confidence without overwhelming participants

Everyone deserves access to self-defense training that respects their experiences while empowering their future.

Coed Self-Defense Training

Self-defense is for everyone.

Coed programs focus on practical safety skills, awareness, conflict avoidance, verbal de-escalation, and physical self-defense concepts that can be applied in everyday life.

Suitable for individuals, families, community groups, and organizations.

Kids & Youth Programs

Today’s children face challenges that previous generations never imagined.

Youth programs focus on age-appropriate education that helps children develop:

• Confidence and self-esteem
• Boundary setting skills
• Stranger awareness and safety concepts
• Bullying prevention strategies
• Decision-making under pressure
• Personal safety awareness

The goal is not to create fear, but to build confidence, resilience, and good judgment.

Workplace & Business Training

Organizations have a responsibility to help employees stay safe and prepared.

Customized workplace training can address:

• Personal safety awareness
• Workplace violence prevention concepts
• Situational awareness in professional environments
• Travel safety considerations
• Verbal de-escalation strategies
• Safety culture development

Programs can be tailored for businesses, healthcare professionals, educators, nonprofits, and other organizations.

Weapons Awareness & Defense Training

Understanding weapons-related threats is an important part of personal safety education.

Training focuses on:

• Threat recognition and decision-making
• Safety principles and risk assessment
• Realistic response options under stress
• Defensive concepts and practical applications
• Awareness, avoidance, and prevention strategies

Programs are designed to increase knowledge, confidence, and preparedness while emphasizing safety and responsible decision-making.
